ACFC summer league play update

RE: League status for summer

A lot of guys have been wondering about what will be happening with the club when this season ends in a few weeks. Many of you responded to my request for your opinions about what we should do. Thanks for that. While I don't have all the answers right now, I can give you a general idea about what will be happening in the next few months.

We will be returning three teams to play in the Saturday 7 v 7 Santa Monica league. This league will be starting play in mid-June. So unfortunately we'll have two months off from Saturday league play.

During those two months we will schedule training, pick-up games and scrimmages on the weekend. We're not sure yet whether it will be on Saturday or Sunday, but we will be playing every week.

Also, we will be playing pick-up soccer one week night every week as well. Again, we're not sure which day, but as soon as we find a good field, we'll let you know.

We will also be returning to play in the LA Municipal League 30+ division. We don't yet know what night of the week those games will be, but we do know that games will start in mid-July.

We don't yet have plans to play on any other day of the week. However, there's a chance we will add an 11s team that will play on Sundays. That team will depend on interest.

We have two more games in the 7 v 7 league and at least three more games in the 30+ league. We have a good chance to win a couple championships. Please keep up the hard work for just a few more weeks.
