July 7, 2012: Angel City took two wins and a loss in SMASL Summer 7s action July 7.
Despite a strong first half, which saw the team down only by a goal (4-3), ACFC dropped its first loss of the season, 9-4 to That's What She Said, who now move into a first-place tie with Malibu United in the Setanta Division ... both with three wins and a loss. ACFC drop to second with a 2-1-1 record. Brad Miller, John Paul Meyer, Kevin Binder and Freddie De Leon scored for ACFC.
Angel City FC, in contrast, continued their strong run with a 6-1 win over Three One O, keeping the squad in second place behind SUDAMERICA in the Sevilla Division with a 3-0-1 record. Tahar Betbout scored four times, with Craig Blois adding a brace.
The AC Allstars capped the morning with a 7-4 win over Los Blancos, to move up to second place in the Santiago Division with a 2-1-1 record. Goal scorers included: Scott Hernandez (2), Matt Onheiber (2), Luis Deveze, David Woirhaye and Craig Blois.
Play continues July 14 with match times at 11:30 AM, 12:30 PM and 1:30 PM.
