Angel City's three 7s squads kicked off the Santa Monica Adult League Saturday with a trio of impressive wins.
Led by four goal efforts from Jonny Ibanez, David Woirhaye and Dan Sapienza the squads outscored their opponents 23-5 on the day (see results and stats below).
The day also saw the return of Peter Marlenga between the Angel City posts. Marlenga, who had been in training for a marathon, played two of the three games, making several impressive and acrobatic saves. The AC Allstars, ACFC and Angel City FC return to play next Saturday with games at 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30 AM.
